Our Story

Two kitchens. One table.

Harp and Clover opened on Court Street in 2015 as Gadsden's first Irish pub. In 2020, NOLA on Second brought New Orleans cooking to South Second Street. Today both kitchens live on under one roof as Nola's Clover.

In loving memory

Brett & Holly Jenkins

Both restaurants were led by Brett and Holly Jenkins, a husband-and-wife team of chefs. Holly was chef de cuisine at Harp and Clover. Brett, the executive chef, became co-owner of Harp and Clover in 2019 and opened NOLA on Second the following year. By 2022, he and Holly owned both restaurants together. We lost Holly in December 2023 and Brett in May 2025.

Nola's Clover is our tribute to them. The shamrock and the fleur-de-lis in our logo are theirs: a little Dublin, a little New Orleans, all Gadsden.

Where we came from

Looking for the old places?

Harp and Clover, later Clover on Court, is the same spot at 124 Court Street. NOLA on Second's Cajun and Creole cooking moved here too. Read more about each:
